Youth Court Order Granted

As part of tackling youth antisocial behaviour in Skelton, we applied to court recently for an Anti-Social Behaviour Injunction (ASBI) against a 12-year-old male. An ASBI is a modern version of an ASBO.

On 26th August, this was granted at Teesside Magistrates Court, meaning that the male now has a set of conditions and restrictions in place. If he is found to breach any of these, he can be arrested and dealt with accordingly. We usually apply to court for an ASBI only when other measures have failed and warnings have been ignored.

This is in place for the next 12 months and was a joint effort between Beyond Housing, Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council and Cleveland Police.
